Screeningjury | A panel of subject matter experts appointed/ engaged by Messe Frankfurt who will evaluate the applications |
Nominee | A participantshort-listed to be evaluated by the Final jury |
Final jury | Group of persons with subject matter expertise appointed/ engaged by Messe Frankfurt to select the winners |
Rules | These rules and regulations governing the Awards, as amended from time to time |
These rules & regulations are applicable to and govern the “The Media Expo Excellence Awards 2020” organized and conducted by Messe Frankfurt
By participating in the Awards, Participant agrees to abide by and be bound by these rules. These rules & regulations may be modified without any prior notification. Participant is advised to regularly review these rules on a regular basis. If there is any disagreement with any of the rules & regulations and any amendments thereto, participant must not participate or withdraw application from the awards
To honor and recognize initiatives undertaken byagencies and vendors which have used indoor and outdoor mediums to creatively communicate the brand objective to their respective TG.
AWARD CATEGORY | DEFINITION |
Innovative use of Hoardings/Billboards | Awarded to the work that has made the most innovative and impactful use of hoardings or billboards for an advertisement |
Innovative use of ambient media | Awarded to work which has used non-traditional indoor mediums in the most creative form (Max 3 mediums to be used) |
Innovative use of transit media | Awarded to work with the most attractive, innovative and impactful display of advertisement on Vehicle, Auto/Car/Bus/Train /Truck etc |
Innovative use of digital signages | Awarded to work that has used OOH medium in a unique manner or in a manner not seen before to showcase the said brand. (For example, Digitalized Screens/Use of video and moving image in an advertisement etc |
Innovative display of brand through POS/POP | Awarded to work with the most attractive, innovative and impactful display of advertisement embedded on either on an object or displayed as a poster |
Eco-friendly brand of the year | Awarded to a brand that promotes usage of eco-friendly materials for creating campaigns across indoor & outdoor mediums. This could be a joint initiative between a client and an agency |

Printer of the year | Awarded to vendors who delivers high-value quality print. Judges will be seeking out the company that best demonstrates a combination of good quality colour results, with innovative applications in a specific period of time with minimal wastage and ease of operation for their clients/agency |
Digital signage company of the year | Awarded to vendor that manufactures innovative and creative digital signages for the usage of their clients |
Innovative POP Solutions/Product | Awarded to vendor who creates advertisements of high quality and sustainability which are embedded on either on an object or displayed as a poster |
AWARD CATEGORY | DEFINITION |
Agency of the year | Awarded to agency that has designed the most innovative and impactful advertisements by strategically using digital and print mediums. |
The Award categories may be changed / modified / split / merged / increased or cancelled by the Jury based on the number and quality of entries received in each category
In the event that no Participant in a category is found to be worthy of inclusion by the Jury, the Award category may be cancelled by the Jury. The Jury may decide to add nominees in the category to maintain high standards of participation. The decision of the Jury in this regard will be final and non-contestable. The Awards management will not entertain any queries in this regard
The awards are open only for Indian registered company/firms/agency
Participant organization should have operations in India for at least 2 years as on September 30, 2019
The campaign must have been executed in the period of September 01, 2018 to August 31, 2019
The impact of the innovation/initiative should be demonstrated through the case study section of the application form
The initiative entered for the awards must be already implemented and should not be in a planning or conceptualizing stage
Agencies should have a no-objection certificate from client to participate
For nomination-based categories, the agency should have a declaration signed from the nominee of his consensus in participation for the awards
Application form should be approved and authorized by the participant
The initiative nominated/ applied must be developed within the participating agency. An agency cannot participate on behalf of its sister units; parent agency or other agencies under the parent agency
Immediate family members of the client, sponsors and partners of the Awards are not allowed to participate in the Awards
The final eligibility of the Participant will be subject to the discretion and approval of the Jury
If at any time, including after the conclusion of any of the Award ceremonies, any information provided by any Nominee(s), is found to be incorrect in any manner, then the Nominee will be liable to be disqualified and / or return the Award and the monetary emoluments provided to the Nominee under this Award, if any
The Jury may modify the eligibility criteria from time to time with retrospective effect
The Jury holds the right to disqualify any application which does not meet the eligibility criteria without assigning any reason whatsoever
